Terms of use, in plain English
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Marvel Prep, LLC for using the MarvelPrep app on iPhone, iPad and Android, and this website. We've kept them as short and clear as we can. By creating an account or using MarvelPrep, you agree to them.
At a glance
- Age 13 and up. If you're under 16, you need a parent or guardian's permission. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian agrees to these terms for you.
- 7 days free, then a subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel in your App Store or Google Play settings.
- Cancel anytime. You keep access to the end of the period you've paid for.
- Practice, not a promise. We help you prepare. We can't guarantee grades.
- Your data. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how to delete your account.

Who can use MarvelPrep
MarvelPrep is for students aged 13 and over.
- If you're under 16, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use MarvelPrep.
- If you're under 18, your parent or guardian accepts these terms on your behalf and is responsible for any purchases.
- If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we'll delete it.
Your account
- Give us accurate details when you sign up, and keep your password to yourself.
- Each account is for one student. Please don't share it.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has used it, email us straight away.
- If you create a link to share your progress with a parent, anyone you send it to can see what the link shows. You can switch a link off in the app at any time.
Subscriptions and free trial
- Plans
- MarvelPrep Monthly (€24.99 a month) and MarvelPrep Annual (€179 a year). The price for your country, including any local taxes, is shown in the app before you buy and may differ from the prices here.
- Free trial
- New subscribers get 7 days free. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you're charged. If you buy a subscription during a trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
- Payment
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google and charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. We never see your card details.
- Automatic renewal
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You'll be charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling
- On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Refunds
- Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies. On Apple, you can ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Google Play, use your order history in the Play Store.
- Price changes
- If we change the price of your plan, you'll be told in advance, and Apple or Google will ask for your agreement where the law or their rules require it.
- Discount codes
- Codes, such as partner-school discounts, follow the conditions shown with them. They're for one student each and can't be exchanged for cash.
If you live in the EU or UK, you may have a legal right to cancel a purchase within 14 days. Apple and Google handle those requests through their own refund processes.
Using MarvelPrep fairly
MarvelPrep is for your own revision. Please don't:
- copy, sell, publish or share our questions, explanations or guides outside your own study
- scrape, download in bulk or try to extract our content or code
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the app
- use MarvelPrep during a real exam or assessment where it isn't allowed
- use anything you type into MarvelPrep, such as a parent-link label, to harass anyone or to post something unlawful
Our content
We own MarvelPrep, including its questions, explanations, strategy guides, flashcards, mascot and design. While your account is active, you can use them for your own personal, non-commercial study.
Cambridge, Cambridge International and IGCSE are trademarks of Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Pearson and Edexcel are trademarks of Pearson Education Limited. MarvelPrep isn't affiliated with or endorsed by either exam board. Our questions are written to their syllabuses, not copied from their exam papers.
We work hard to keep everything accurate and up to date, but mistakes can happen. If you spot one, please tell us. Your teacher and your exam board's official specification are always the final word on what you'll be examined on.
What you put in
Your answers stay yours. You give us permission to store and use them to mark your work, track your progress and run MarvelPrep, as our Privacy Policy describes. That permission ends when you delete your account.
Exam results and wellbeing
MarvelPrep helps you prepare, but your results depend on many things outside our control, so we can't promise any particular grade.
The Calm Center teaches everyday techniques for exam stress. It isn't medical advice, therapy or an emergency service. If you're worried about your wellbeing, talk to a parent, your school or a doctor. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Changes to the app
We keep improving MarvelPrep, so features and content will change over time. We aim to keep it running smoothly, but there may be occasional interruptions, for example during updates. If we make a change that significantly reduces what a paid subscription includes, we'll tell you in advance.
Ending things
- You can stop using MarvelPrep at any time, and you can delete your account from Settings in the app.
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. We'll tell you why, unless the law stops us.
- If we ever close MarvelPrep altogether, we'll give you reasonable notice.
Our responsibility to you
We provide MarvelPrep with reasonable care and skill. As far as the law allows:
- we aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee, or for exam results
- our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid for MarvelPrep in the 12 months before the claim
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, your legal rights, including your rights when digital content is faulty, aren't affected.
If you got the app from the App Store
If you downloaded MarvelPrep from Apple's App Store, these points also apply:
- These terms are between you and Marvel Prep, LLC, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content.
- You may use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, including through Family Sharing.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support.
- If the app doesn't meet any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. As far as the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it doesn't meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If anyone claims the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging the claim.
- You confirm that you're not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you're not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile network's terms.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
If you downloaded MarvelPrep from Google Play, your purchase is also covered by the Google Play Terms of Service.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. If you live in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
If something goes wrong, please email us first. We'd much rather put it right.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the new version appears here with a new date. If a change matters for account holders, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account.
